If you've spent years writing quotes in Excel or on a notepad, switching to software feels intimidating. We get it. So we built GlassBuddy to be simple enough that you can be sending real quotes in five minutes.
Step 1 — Create your workspace (1 minute)
Click Start free on the homepage. Enter your name, your business name, your email, and a password. You're in. Your trial is free for seven days, no card needed.
Step 2 — Set up your company profile (1 minute)
Go to Settings → Company profile. Add your GSTIN — when you do, GlassBuddy auto-detects your state and uses it for all GST math going forward. Add your address, phone, and email. This information appears on every quote PDF you send.
Step 3 — Add your first customer (1 minute)
Click Customers → New customer. Just put in their name and GSTIN — that's enough. The state code from their GSTIN tells GlassBuddy whether to charge CGST/SGST (same state) or IGST (different state) on quotes for them. You can come back later to add more details.
Step 4 — Send your first quote (2 minutes)
Click Quotes → New quote. Pick the customer. For each line item, choose either:
- Glass item: pick the glass type (clear float, tempered, laminated, etc.), thickness, enter the dimensions in millimetres. GlassBuddy calculates the area in square metres automatically. Enter your rate per sqm. Done.
- Other item: for things like aluminium frames, hardware, installation. Just description, quantity, and rate.
The total updates live as you type. GST splits correctly based on the customer's state. Add notes and your standard terms.
Hit Create quote, then Mark as sent. Now click Copy customer link — paste it on WhatsApp to your customer.
That's it
When your customer opens the link, they'll see a beautiful quote view with your branding. They tap Approve, you get notified instantly. No emailing PDFs back and forth, no chasing for a confirmation.
Once you've sent a few quotes, explore the Settings — invite teammates, customize roles, fine-tune the company profile. The rest of GlassBuddy is there when you need it.
